The Island of Luing
Luing is one of the Slate Islands, Firth of Lorn, in the west of Argyll in Scotland, about 16 miles south of Oban. The island has an area of 1,430 hectares and is bounded by several small skerries and islets. It has a population of around 200 people, mostly living in Cullipool, Toberonochy, and Blackmillbay
On the 30th of June, we are going on an adventure to Luing. Luing is an Island within easy reach of the mainland full of wildlife, history and yet relatively unknown.
A great opportunity to get to know the members of FWPS share your skills with others get inspired! and Join the club too!
On a Photowalk, everyone is welcome to attend. Nevertheless, those who are not members of our club go at their own risk and have to arrange their transport.
Fort William Photographic Society will not accept any liability for loss or damage to equipment or personal injury.
What would you need?
- Camera and Tripod and charged batteries for it!
- A pair of good and comfortable walking boots
- Waterproofs it is Scotland and while we don’t have bad weather we may have the wrong clothing…
- something to eat and drink, just in case the shops aren’t open…
- and anything you need.
